Meet Ian

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, consultant, and creator of Insight-Based Integration Therapy. My work sits at the intersection of clinical depth, spiritual psychology, and real-world experience.

I believe therapy should help you feel better — not just clinically stable, but genuinely well.

MY MISSION
A man with short dark hair, a goatee, wearing a cream-colored short-sleeve shirt, a cream vest with striped accents and buttons, beige pants, a black watch, and a bracelet, standing against a plain white wall.

A Different Model of Therapy

I’m guided by the spiritual psychology practice known as the 3 Principles — a framework that explains how our thoughts shape our emotional experience moment to moment.

My approach challenges the traditional therapeutic model. The goal isn’t to create lifelong dependency. It’s to help you gain insight into how your mind works so clearly that one day, you no longer need me.

You already have what you need. Our work together is about uncovering that.

A Foundation Built on Experience

I bring more than a decade of clinical mental health experience to this work, including leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and serving as Clinical Director in outpatient and inpatient treatment settings across Los Angeles. My focus today centers on integration-based psychotherapy — supporting individuals, couples, and those participating in ketamine-assisted therapy in translating powerful insights into meaningful, lasting change.

What shapes my approach is the combination of clinical experience and an insight-based understanding of how people actually change. This work isn’t about chasing trends or practicing techniques like mindfulness — it’s about recognizing the clarity and intelligence that already exist within you, and helping those realizations stabilize into how you live your life.

Being worried about your future isn’t your future’s impending arrival, but your thinking’s present power.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Insight, Applied.

As mental health continues to evolve, so must the way we approach it. I created Insight-Based Integration Therapy to bridge traditional psychotherapy with a modern understanding of how human experience is created.

This work extends beyond the therapy room — into culture, into community, and into how we show up in everyday life. The goal is simple: sustainable clarity that allows you to move forward with confidence and independence.

Integration & Innovation

Insight-Based Integration Therapy was developed to connect clinical psychotherapy with emerging therapeutic environments. It supports individuals seeking meaningful internal change and practitioners navigating modern treatment landscapes with greater depth and intention.

Culture & Creativity

In addition to my clinical work, I’m a writer and hip-hop artist under the moniker Habits Die, and a sneakerhead. Creativity and culture inform how I listen, how I connect, and how I practice. Therapy does not exist outside the world — it lives inside it.

Mission & Vision

My mission is to challenge the traditional therapeutic model. The goal isn’t lifelong dependency. It’s clarity. What you gain from our work together becomes something you carry forward — so that one day, you no longer need me as a permanent guide.

Wellness In Action

Ian is one half of the wellness duo behind The Barbershop Club at The Line Hotel in Los Angeles — a concept that blends therapy, grooming, and life coaching into a unified experience.

The Barbershop Club was built on a simple idea: you don’t separate the interior from the exterior. How you feel inside influences how you show up outside. And both matter.

Grounded in the philosophy of the 3 Principles, The BSC operates from four core beliefs:

  • You Already Have What You Need

  • The Exterior Matters

  • The Interior Matters

  • Living Life in Wisdom

This isn’t therapy in isolation. It’s insight applied in real life — in community, in culture, in everyday moments.

Your Next Step Starts Here.

Whether you're seeking personal clarity or professional development, the work begins with insight.
